Benefits of Vita-Myr Toothpaste: The All-Natural Oral Care Choice

Being the mom of a 2.5 yr old and spending time with more and more families, I find myself always on the search for “the perfect toothpaste” for kids.  I am happy to say that I have found one that is not only accepted widely by kids, but also has amazing ingredients as well.“It tastes like a creamy sweet orange Popsicle, says our favorite little products tester, and I love how smooth and shiny my teeth feel after brushing”!

Vita-Myr Children’s Zinc-Plus Toothpaste is packed full of ingredients that help in keeping your little ones teeth clean and beautiful.

Xylitol (Birch derived), Zinc, Folic Acid, Clove, Myrrh, and CoQ10 are the key ingredients.  It has a very mild abrasive and is easily tolerated by adults and children alike.  The xylitol helps to restore a proper alkaline/acid balance in the mouth which helps to destroy cavity causing bacteria naturally.

This is a great paste for people who really love the “foaming effect” in toothpaste, but don’t want unnecessary chemicals in their products.  When I first found Vita-Myr’s ingredients, I was surprised to see that there was Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate in it.

Knowing that the formulator behind this product line is a Holistic Practitioner, Clinical Aromatherapist and Flower Essence Practitioner, I found it interesting that she would be using “chemicals”.In doing research, and speaking to the formulator herself, I’ve come to the understanding that Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is not related in any way to SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate) which is a chemical often found in cheaper brands.

Plant-based Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is a gentle surfactant (foaming/cleansing agent) derived from coconut oil and is known to be a safe, natural, nurturing cleanser. It gently but effectively removes surface oil and bacteria and it allows the paste to lather, which helps to spread the toothpaste around the mouth.
