Dental Cross Training

Doesn’t it feel sometimes that the routine your hygienist or dentist recommends for you seems like it would take a good 10 minutes daily? And in this day and age who seems to have those precious 10 minutes to spend.  And if you did have those precious 10 minutes, are you really that motivated to spend it in front of the mirror with floss wrapped around your finger, cutting off blood supply?

When you go to the gym, do you do the SAME thing every day, or do you break it up?  Cardio one day, weights the next, always keeping your body challenged yet at the same time incorporating all of the major muscle groups.

Perhaps breaking up the oral hygiene task is a bit more fitting for your lifestyle.  An electric toothbrush in the morning, followed by a manual toothbrush in the evening.  Picks or floss while you are watching the news.  Sulcabrushes or Flix are both an easy and effective ways to “passively” take care of the in-between the teeth areas commonly referred to as “flossing areas”.

And of course there is the ever so effective Hydro Floss that can be used daily.  Truth be told if you are doing just a bit every day, it can be more effective than you may imagine.  It doesn’t have to take 10 minutes in front of the mirror unless of course, you enjoy that, then by all means enjoy. Please let us know if you would like more information on ideas that could be simple and effective.  Thanks for reading this, I hope you have a great day!
