Does the Burst Toothbrush Really work?
What makes it so great you ask? For me, it’s the brush head! I’ll explain the rest of the features in the next section, but as someone who’s been focusing on the coaching side of oral health for one of my best tools I use for coaching are toothbrushes that have what is called a bi-level bristle design.
With the Burst brush, nearly 1/3 of the bristles are extended, tapered, feathered and extra soft. These extended bristles allow the brush to clean up and under the gums & into the nooks and crannies (there’s a demo video below). Don’t let the size of this brush head fool you. It may be on the slimmer side, but that just means it can reach the areas most other toothbrushes can’t! On the Burst toothbrush head, nearly 1/3 of the bristles are extended, tapered, feathered and extra soft.

Activated charcoal (what you would typically see in a toothpaste) is an abrasive, which involves scrubbing not absorbing.

No, they are extra soft bristles, and here is why. The Burst brush operates at 33,000 movements per minute which is more powerful than other electric brushes. Burst feels that a toothbrush this powerful shouldn’t have hard bristles because you wouldn’t to damage your teeth enamel. Plaque & biofilm are quite easy to remove and it’s better to have a high-intensity cleaning action combined with soft bristles vs. a brush that is overly aggressive.
How Many Modes Does the Burst Brush Have?
3 Modes
WHITENING CLEANING MODE
The whitening cleaning mode has the toothbrush working at its top speed of 33,000 vibrations per minute. This is the default setting when you turn on the brush and is typically suitable for most people’s daily cleaning routine.
SENSITIVE CLEANING MODE
This mode is designed for people who suffer from sensitive teeth or people that find the brush ticklish and need to adapt to the feeling. The operating speed is cut from 33,000 to 31,000 vibrations per minute to give a gentler clean.
MASSAGE MODE
This mode has a pulsing action that is designed to stimulate blood flow and improve gum health.
