Eucalyptus Globulus Protects Mouths and Eases Pain

Eucalyptus Globulus, also known as the Tasmanian Blue Gum, is among the tallest trees in the world: the largest can reach heights of nearly 300 feet! It has a wide variety of uses, with the live tree providing plentiful blossoms for honey cultivation, and its pulpwood is one of the best in the world for making paper. In addition, its oil serves well as a flavoring, as a therapeutic device, and as a medicine.

The pleasant taste and smell of Eucalyptus Globulus help improve the taste of products itโ€™s included in, as well as helping to freshen breath. It complements the scent of peppermint nicely, making the two ideal companions in nearly any solution.

There are many ways to use Eucalyptus Globulus oil or tea as a medicine. It can be taken to fight dry coughs as an antitussive or to help wet coughs as an expectorant; it can also be used as a sedative, and it is effective at fighting germs, as an anti-inflammatory agent, and as an anesthetic, among other things. All of these qualities make Eucalyptus Globulus wonderfully effective for oral health, which is why it is included it in Tooth & Gums Tonic.

If any part of your mouth is sore and swollen, the anesthetic and anti-inflammatory effects will help reduce both problems. Its effectiveness against microbes and bacteria will then take care of the cause of the problem, fighting against any present infections.

While Eucalyptus Globulus is generally safe, care should be used as with any medicine. When swallowed in large amounts, it can be problematic for digestion and cause kidney and liver problems. When using it as a medication for treating non-oral problems, it is best used in limited quantity as an inhalant or a leaf tea.
